Rowayton's Dog park is comprised of a rectangular fenced-in area of almost two acres. The main entrance has a double gate to safeguard against dogs running into the street. Seating lines the perimeter which consists of a few wooden benches and carved stone blocks. Most dogs are off leash and there is no segregation between smaller and larger dogs. The park is clean and well-kept, has waste bins near the entrance and offers a large open area for dogs to socialize. The dog run features a little shade with a row of trees on two of its borders, and there is a gravel-lined watering area with self-filling bowls exclusively for dogs.
